Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Salento website at salento.com (the “Site”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. Salento is run from Via G.A Santoro 5, 73040 Specchia, Italy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Site. Salento reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Your continued use of the Site following any modification constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Use of the Site
You may use the Site solely for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to use the Site in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair it, or interfere with any other party’s use of the Site. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any portion of the Site or any system or network connected to it. The content on this Site is for general information only and is subject to change without notice.
How Salento Works
Salento is the territory’s own address for the houses, towns and people of Salento, run by people who live there. We visit the houses on the Site, write about them and the towns around them, and arrange your stay with you: you tell us about the trip, we come back with the houses that fit, and once the house is right you book the stay with Salento. Salento does not own the houses on the Site; each house is hosted by its owner, who is responsible for the house and its house rules. Sending a request or asking about a town is free and does not commit you to anything. Houses are included on the basis of Salento’s own selection; nobody pays to be listed or to appear higher.
Bookings & Payment
A booking is made with Salento. Once we have checked your dates with the owner of the house, we send you the full price for the stay, the deposit, the payment schedule and what a confirmed booking requires. Nothing is binding on either side until you have accepted that offer and the deposit has been received. The Site itself does not process payments; payment details are agreed with you in writing as part of the booking. Availability and prices shown on the Site are provided in good faith and are confirmed at the time of booking.
Cancellations & Refunds
The cancellation, refund and change-of-date terms for your stay are stated with the price before you commit and form part of your booking with Salento. Terms can differ from house to house, because each house is hosted by its owner. If your plans change, write to us first: we will tell you what applies and what we can do. We strongly recommend that all guests purchase comprehensive travel insurance that includes cancellation cover.
Intellectual Property
All content on this Site, including text, photographs, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Salento or its content suppliers and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or otherwise exploit any content from this Site without our prior written consent. Limited personal, non-commercial use is permitted provided that all copyright and other proprietary notices are retained.
Disclaimers
The Site and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Salento does not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. Villa descriptions, photographs, and availability information are provided in good faith but are subject to change and are confirmed at the time of booking. Each house is hosted by its owner, who is responsible for the condition of the house during your stay. Salento accepts no liability for any inaccuracy in a listing beyond what applicable consumer law requires, nor for the conduct of any third party.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Salento shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of, or inability to use, this Site or our service. Our liability in connection with a booking is limited to the price paid for that stay, and we are not liable for any act or omission of a house owner or other third party beyond what applicable law requires. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence.
Governing Law
Nothing in these terms removes the mandatory consumer protections or rights available to you under applicable law.
